In 1847, the king agrees with Daiva / Bhoota (local demigod, Animist form of Spirit worshipped by locals of Tulunadu and some parts of Malenadu of Karnataka and Kasargod in Northern Kerala, India.) to trade his forest land to the local tribes people in exchange for the happiness by Daiva. Later, in 1970, king's successor wants the land back, but succumbs to the wrath of Daiva. In 1990, the plot gets complicated by the entry of a strict forest officer (Kishore) who wants forest land to be untouched but is challenged by protagonist Shiva (Rishab Shetty) with the backing of King's successor in present day (Achyut Kumar). The plot twists around - Who are all eyeing for the land? Who gets the land? Whether Daiva really exists? The sequences of Belief on Daiva, Daivaradhane / Bhootakola and Kambala are traditions of Coastal Karnataka (Tulunadu), India are beautifully placed in the plot of the film.
